Individual and group counseling services are provided to children, teens and adults dealing with the challenges associated with, but not limited to, bereavement, illness, divorce, school issues, abuse, diabetes, anxiety, depression, parenting, bullying, eating disorders or men’s issues.
Groups for Children:
The children’s support groups are run by Laura Hudson, a Board Certified Art Therapist, who incorporates art, music, games, and a listening ear. Each group has a concurrent parent group conducted by Samantha Tinter, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. These parent groups offer a safe place for parents to express their own feelings and receive help dealing with their child(ren).
Groups for Teens:
Most teens choose to attend a group run by the Licensed Clinical Social Worker. These groups are run without a concurrent adult group. This helps the teens to feel at home at Hearts & Crafts, be themselves, and get the help they need.
Groups for Adults:
Additionally, adult groups are offered that are not connected to a children’s group. These groups meet for a variety of issues. Adults need not have a child at Hearts & Crafts to attend one of these groups.
Laura & Samantha have extensive experience helping children, teens, and adults, and individual counseling is always available in addition to or instead of group work.
