Individual and group counseling services are provided to children and teens dealing with the challenges associated with, but not limited to, bereavement, illness, divorce, school issues, abuse, diabetes, anxiety, depression and bullying.
Groups for Children:
The children’s support groups are run by Laura Hudson, a Board Certified Art Therapist, who incorporates art, music, games, and a listening ear. Each group has a concurrent parent group conducted by either Samantha Tinter, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Madeline Salerno. These parent groups offer a safe place for parents to express their own feelings and receive help dealing with their child(ren).
Groups for Teens:
The teen groups are led by a Licensed Social Worker. These groups are run without a concurrent adult group. This helps the teens to feel at home at Hearts & Crafts, be themselves, and get the support they need.
Groups for Adults:
Additionally, adult groups are offered that are not connected to a children’s group. Please visit our partner website for more information:
Laura has extensive experience helping children and individual counseling is always available in addition to or instead of group work.
